Self Catering and Guesthouse Accommodation in Snowdonia
Encil Eryri (Snowdonia Hideaway) is set in the heart of Snowdonia National Park, between mountains and sea and close to the seaside towns of Tywyn and Aberdyfi. We offer quirky and luxurious accommodation options including a self-catering barn conversion sleeping 2-6, and camping in the South Snowdonia National Park with coast and mountain views suitable for families and couples. The smallholding is located just above a request halt on the famous Tal Y Llyn steam railway, so it is possible to arrive by steam train, yes, really!
With a 20 minute walk to the estuary and pub, it’s the perfect location to relax, restore and explore the wonderful beaches and historic sites of Snowdonia, Gwynedd. The Southern Snowdonia National Park is less explored, so you won’t be sharing it with hundreds of other tourists, like the North Snowdonia equivalent. In contrast, there is always space to be found and an empty beach, especially out of season. Encil Eryri is close to good cycle routes and it’s possible to enjoy flat open vistas and rolling hills, as well as craggy off road mountain bike descents, all within a stone’s throw of the cottages. We offer bike hire and there are mountain bike centres nearby. Spend your days exploring Snowdonia’s scenic mountain roads, hills tops and sheltered woodland walks. Then return to Encil Eryri for a cuppa and a read of a good book. Sample the warming flavours of Wales’ seasonal produce at the many award-winning local restaurants nearby. Set aside some time to get close to nature and connect with the big outdoors and those you love.
