What to do in the South Snowdonia area

This area is great for gentle walks along the beach at Tywyn or Aberdyfi, or along the Dysynni river to the sea. Dolgoch waterfalls and the pub in Bryn Crug are both walkable distance. There are historic sites to visit including Castell Y Bere, St Cadfans church and Harlech Castle. If you enjoy wild swimming in Snowdonia there are several locations nearby to enjoy and a selection of lovely saunas to warm up in. The local Snowdonia mountain biking scene is world class with Dyfi bike park and Coed Yr Brenin nearby. Walks in Snowdonia

There is plenty to explore in this area of Snowdonia National Park. Walkers will find paths suitable for a variety of levels-plenty of high mountain peaks, flat long beach walks, gentle walks with panoramic views and easy walks suitable for younger children or those with more limited mobility. Precipice walk, the Mawddach Estuary, Cadair Idris, Cregannen Lakes, Aran Fawddwy and Dolgoch waterfalls are all easily accessible by car from your base.
